Another stop on the Fan Expo pop culture convention tour, this event celebrates comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming, and more. Like the other Fan Expos, it features celebrity guests from major franchises doing panels, photo ops, and autographs. The massive exhibitor floor hosts retailers selling comics, toys, games, artwork, and collectibles.
The gaming area offers console, PC, tabletop, and trading card game tournaments as well as freeplay areas. Other attractions include cosplay contests and masquerades, family zones, an artist alley, and special screenings. After-hours events include dances, parties, concerts, and more. The Chicago edition typically draws over 60,000 attendees.
